The ideal candidate would have experience working as both a production artist and a manager.  This person would start as a production artist and work into a role as lead artist.

Responsibilities:

Work with producer and designer to establish and lead the visual direction of videogames.
• Create assets as part of game production in the areas of animation, modeling, 2D graphics, visual effects, textures, U.I., art, and cinematics.
• Lead art tasks in animation, modeling, 2D graphics, visual effects, textures, U.I., art, and cinematics.
• Establish and maintain high standards for visual and technical aspects of all game art content.
Set and maintain standards for art tools and art pipeline, including documenting those standards.
• Schedule and drive pre-milestone art reviews in collaboration with producer and designer.
Provide critical analysis of art technology, pipeline and studio practices with teh goal of improving game quality, team efficiency and a positive studio culture.
• Manage internal and external art resources throughout development.

Requirements:

5 or more years of experience in entertainment software, with leadership roles on at least one major title.
Solid familiarity with 3DS Max and plugins, Photoshop and other core tools.
• Experience closely collaborating with staff and team leaders.
• Strong traditional and digital art skills; ability to create conept art, digital graphics and 3D art.
• A passion for creating and and playing videogames.
• Team-oriented approach to game development.
• Ability to accurately estimate delivery times for a broad range of art tasks and lead the art team to consistently sustain their schedules.

The ideal candidate would have experience working in large cutting-edge engine technology systems and the ability to design, plan and program complex engine components, especially in the area of graphics. The candidate must also exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, a high level of understanding towards game technology production and an adaptability to meet the needs of multiple projects utilizing common technology.

As a Programmer tasked with the graphics system, you will be required to either work on low level graphics subsystems or high level rendering techniques for a PC based engine (depending on your experience/skillset).  Tasks might also include more general purpose assignments, like correcting bugs, or implementing features in other parts of the code. At times you will need to work side by side with artists, developing new features or helping them take advantage of newly added features.

Requirements:


• Experience in the design and implementation of cutting edge graphics techniques, hardware and API’s
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
• 5+ years experience in advance C++/OOP architecture design and implementation
• 3+ years experience in game programming, with at least one shipped game.
• Experience in low-level programming especially in the area of graphics hardware and shader/vector programming
• Experience and a high level of understanding in the field of advanced 3D mathematics and 3D graphics
• Demonstrated knowledge of good software engineering practices
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Self-motivation and a passion for video games
• Direct3D, OpenGL experience
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic, with desire to be a team player.
• Willingness to adapt.
• Familiarity with 3D Studio Max (operation and scripting) a plus.
